District

Centered in the heart of Iowa, Grinnell Newburg Community School District has a long, rich history of education dating back to 1854.  Located in a rural community just an hour from Des Moines and Iowa City, residents enjoy the advantages of a small town.  The sense of family and community permeates our schools, as we are on mission with our community to empower every student to become a lifelong learner who is a responsible, productive, and engaged citizen within the global community.

The Grinnell-Newburg school district serves approximately 1750 in 5 schools.  We offer numerous programs both during and outside of school, and have a thriving activities program.  Our vision is that every student is achieving at his or her maximum potential in an engaging, inspiring, and challenging learning environment.

Fairview Elementary serves Pre-K through second grade.  Bailey Park Elementary serves kindergarten through second grade.  Davis Elementary serves students in third and fourth grade.  Grinnell Middle School serves students in fifth through eighth grade, and Grinnell High School serves ninth through twelfth grades.

We are proud of what we offer for our students and families, and are constantly striving to provide the very best education for our students.
