Author and illustrator Caroline Arnold

Davis students enjoyed a visit from author and illustrator Caroline Arnold, a 1966 Grinnell College graduate. Caroline has written 170 books. Our students enjoyed hearing about how she researched for her book

Keeper of the Light: Juliet Fish Nichols Fights the San Francisco Fog

and how she created the illustrations for her books in the Day and Night series. Caroline writes many books about animals. When sharing about her bird books, she measured the wingspan of a handful of

3rd and 4th graders. Caronline told them what bird had the same wingspan as them (shown in photos).

Thank you Caroline Arnold for inspiring us with your talent and knowledge!Author visit to Davis students
